About No Excess

  • Sweaters and knitwear
  • Shirts, T-shirts and polos
  • Pants and jeans, including the Sedoc collection
  • Timeless Basics essentials
  • Accessories and outlet items

No Excess is a casual menswear brand from Amsterdam. Its About page says the brand was founded more than 37 years ago by Roel de Veer, with the idea of menswear that looks sharp, feels comfortable and is accessible to every man. Today the brand says its collections reach more than 20 countries.

The webshop is the brand's official store and runs in English and Dutch. The navigation is organized by garment: jackets, overshirts, sweaters, knitwear, shirts, T-shirts and polos, pants, jeans and accessories, plus an outlet. Current collections include the Sedoc line and a Timeless Basics line of everyday essentials, and the About page says Olympic athlete Gregory Sedoc joined the brand as ambassador.

The brand describes its style as down to earth: comfortable fits, quality fabrics and designs that suit work, home and time with friends. The store also publishes a sustainability page and a seasonal lookbook.

Prices on the store sit in a clear range, for example a cotton slub T-shirt at 29,99 euros, the Sedoc pants at 89,99 and 99,99 euros, and jackets from 159,99 euros. That range is a good fit for threshold-based offers, because shoppers combining a jacket with a shirt or pants reach a higher basket value quickly.

On the storefront

A free backpack on orders over 160 euros

The homepage announces a free NXS Backpack worth 59,99 euros on orders over 160 euros. The Tek Labs gift widget on the product page shows the same offer as a progress bar: "Free NXS Backpack on orders over €160" with "€160,00 away from your gift" before anything is in the cart, and the NXS Backpack in black shown as free next to its regular price of 59,99 euros. The announcement bar also lists free shipping above 75 euros and 30 day returns. Offers change over time, so this is what was visible when we checked in October 2026.

How they use it

Tek Labs at No Excess

No Excess uses the gift as a spend threshold. The reward is a branded accessory, so it adds value for the shopper and carries the brand with it. The gift sits just above the price of a jacket or of two or three smaller items, which gives shoppers a reason to add one more piece.

The progress message makes the threshold concrete. Instead of reading a rule in a banner, the shopper sees exactly how much is left to spend, and the number updates as items are added to the cart.

Fashion stores typically use a gift with purchase to lift basket size without discounting the clothing itself. A branded accessory keeps the sale price of the main items untouched, and it works well alongside other promotions such as a knitwear multi-buy.
